Insights are short-form written content that allow creators to share quick tips, industry knowledge, practical advice, and valuable perspectives — all without the commitment of building a full course.

What Are Insights?

Insights are focused, bite-sized pieces of content that creators can publish alongside their courses.

Think of them as:

• Quick tips and best practices
• Industry trends and observations
• Lessons learned from real experience
• Answers to common questions
• Behind-the-scenes knowledge

Unlike courses, which are structured learning paths with videos and lessons, Insights are written articles that can be published quickly and consumed in minutes.

Insights let creators share valuable knowledge without the production overhead of video content.

Why We Built Insights

Not all knowledge fits into a course structure.

Sometimes, the most valuable thing a creator can share is:

• A specific technique they discovered
• A mistake they made and how to avoid it
• A tool or resource recommendation
• A perspective shift that changed their work

These pieces of wisdom often get lost because they don't warrant a full video production.

Insights solve this problem.

Creators can now capture and share these moments of knowledge quickly, keeping their audience engaged between course releases.

Two Types of Visibility

Creators have control over who can access their Insights:

Public Insights

• Visible to everyone
• Great for building awareness
• Helps attract new subscribers
• Showcases expertise to potential learners

Subscriber-Only Insights

• Exclusive to active subscribers
• Adds value to subscriptions
• Rewards loyal subscribers with premium content
• Creates incentive for new subscriptions

This flexibility lets creators build both reach and retention simultaneously.

Creating an Insight

The creation process is designed to be simple and fast. Each Insight includes:

• Title — A clear, compelling headline
• Role — Which career path is this relevant to?
• Skill Unit (optional) — For more specific categorization
• Cover Image — Visual representation of your content
• Rich Content — Full text editor with formatting support
• Visibility — Public or Subscribers Only

For Creators: Two Paths Forward

With Insights, we're also introducing a new way for creators to join Saanyo.

Insights-Only Creators

Some creators prefer writing over video production. For them, we now offer the Insights-Only path:

• Publish unlimited Insights
• Build an audience through written content
• Lower barrier to entry
• Option to upgrade to full creator later

This is perfect for:

• Industry experts who prefer writing
• Creators testing the platform
• Those building an audience before launching courses

Full Creators

Full creators have access to everything:

• Publish courses with video lessons
• Publish Insights
• Complete toolkit for knowledge sharing

Insights-Only creators can request an upgrade to Full Creator status at any time through their dashboard.

Role-Based Organization

Like courses, Insights are organized within Saanyo's role-based learning structure:

    └── Discoverable by learners pursuing this career

This keeps content organized and discoverable by learners pursuing specific career paths.
